Building Healthy Habits with a Personal Trainer

You have a career, own a business, travel a lot, and are constantly in situations that make habits very necessary.

Habits are why you brush your teeth. Go to work. Meet friends on the weekends. See? Habits might sound boring but they aren’t really bad!

Maybe you have a habit of a few drinks when you meet those friends. (OK 😉 that one could be modified a bit) Now let’s talk about all those holiday traditions – food, drink, and merry-making – that seem to encourage bad habits.

Being Healthy Doesn’t Mean “No Fun”

If you find yourself consuming sugary drinks and a few cookies, chocolates, donuts or lollies after lunch because somebody brought holiday cheer to the office, that’s probably not a habit, it’s more the result of conditioning.

But falling into traps of over-eating and over-drinking in social and other situations can take a tremendous toll on your body, mind, and spirit. Would you rather have self-control or another cookie? Most people say the self-control. Most people reach for the cookie, anyway.
